This is How the Ladies Ride – Nursery Action Song for Babies
Nursery rhymes and action songs are a great way to build babies language. These will help them begin to tune into and become aware of patterns in our language. Engaging in eye contact is also an important part of developing language and communication skills.
Doing this nursery rhyme with your baby will provide positive shared interactions which helps build attachments.

This is How the Ladies Ride
*During this nursery rhyme hold your baby on your knees to bounce them gently up and down. Make sure they are old enough and strong enough to have good head control.
This is how the ladies ride – clipity clop, clipity clop, clipity clop (bounce baby on knee)
This is how the gentlemen ride- gallop-a-trot, gallop-a-trot, gallop-a-trot (bounce baby on knee)
This is how the farmer rides- tripity-trot, tripity-trot, trinity-trot (bounce baby on knee)
This is how the old man rides- hurump-haroy, (drop baby down on one side of your leg) harump- haroy (swing baby down on the other side)
And fall into a ditch- whooooo! (gently drop baby back to ‘fall down’)
